NDS Harlem serves thousands of clients every year, protecting the upper Manhattan community and keeping families intact.

We live in a country where racism is endemic to every system of life. That informs our mission: literally every program we run is designed to confront and fight systemic inequality. From immigration to healthcare to the criminal legal system to family court to education to employment to housing, we battle systems infused with racism.

But we need your help. Our clients face threats to their safety, their freedom, their homes and even their children. Financial support in case of emergency can make all the difference in the world. What seems like the smallest thing - cleaning supplies, meals, bus fare - make the difference between a client walking out of court with their freedom, or not. Your funds will support basic needs along with emergency support to help clients with immigration filings and visa applications. Through our emergency fund, we have already been able to help clients move into their homes, pay visa applications so that clients can reenter the United States and reunify with the families, and more.
